Default Differences in pronouncing 'director'

Hi All,

I'm from Italy and never really managed to understand which pronunciation of 'director' is usually associated with British English and which one with American English.

Thank you in advance for your help.

In American English, the 'dir' sounds the same as 'her' in 'Give it to her.'
