Thank you, RonBee.

You're welcome.

On a personal note, I'm not from the South, so I don't have a Southern accent. (My wife, who is from Alabama, just this morning said, "Do you have a unbrella?")

Re: Accents of Yankees and Dixies?
I got a website which has a test of American accents--a Yankee accent or a South accent.
But I failed almost all the test.
I am lost.
Yankee-Dixie
1. How do you pronounce Aunt?
Like the word want
Like the word ant
Like the word caught
I pronounce them all the same
I can't choose any of them because my pronunciations of the words are different from them.
Aunt: [a:nt], like the word pass
want: like the word O
ant: like the word pant
caught: like the word door

That site helps you decide what type of American accent you have.
Since you seem to pronounce those vowels in a British RP accent, the test isn't suitable for you.
AusE uses the same vowels for these words/a:, ɒ, æ, ɔ/respectively,
but our diphthongs are different.
