What level is she and what problems does she have?
Hi! I would suggest let her imitate audio files, eg. BBC, VOA, read out by a certain native speaker from every single word to tone time and again. And then let her read it out for you, you can correct her pronunciation.
I assume if she can insist everyday in three months, her pronunication will improve. :-D
(I'm not a teacher.)
She is quite advanced, her spoken English is good, but some of her pronunciation - L's and R's, and combined consanants - is very bad.
(We were discussing Palin & Alaska and she could not pronounce "oil-drilling").
She was recently told at an job interview that she would not be promoted because the interviewer could not understand her.
I think daffodil must mean "practice".
Hi dOlier,
Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. Yes, I mean 'insist on practising'. A Chinese friend, whose pronuniciation is good, once told me if I could practise in this way, my pronunciation would improve.
I am a Chinese and my recommendation is that you should focus on voiced consonants (especially Z) and intonations.;-)
