| She is quite advanced, her spoken English is good, but some of her pronunciation - L's and R's, and combined consanants - is very bad. (We were discussing Palin & Alaska and she could not pronounce "oil-drilling"). She was recently told at an job interview that she would not be promoted because the interviewer could not understand her. |

| Hi dOlier, Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. Yes, I mean 'insist on practising'. A Chinese friend, whose pronuniciation is good, once told me if I could practise in this way, my pronunciation would improve. |

| I am a Chinese and my recommendation is that you should focus on voiced consonants (especially Z) and intonations. |
