The voicelss labial stop /p/ becomes a voicelss labial fricative [f] before /f/:
kit'a:/p/ 'book'
kit'a:[f] 'fa'thi' 'fathi's book'
The voiceless velar stop /k/ becomes a voiceless velar fricative [x] before /x/:
s'ama/k/ 'fish'
s'ama[x] x'a:lid ' khaled's fish'
The voiceless alveolar stop /t/ becomes a voiceless alveolar fricative [s] before /s/ and an alveopalatal fricative [ʃ] before /ʃ/.
bi/t/ 'daughter'
bi[s] sami':ra 'samira's daughter'
bi[ʃ] ʃari':f 'sharif 's daughter'
Rule
By process of regressive assimilation, voiceless stops /p, k/ and /t/ become voiceless fricatives [f, x] and [s, ʃ] respectively, thereby sharing manner of articulation with a following fricative.
