[General] very difficult pronunciations

hi everyone, I'm new to this site but already finding very helpful. I have a question that I hope some of you may be able to assist.
Some time ago I had what was called a NART test (this was done in the UK and stands for national adult reading test and not be confused with north american reading test). It comprised a list of words that had ever increasingly difficult pronunciations (irregular with hidden/silent sounds etc). I cannot remember a simple example and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction, eg - are there similar lists on this site?

thanks for the quick replies all but the first link does not work (sorry) and the simple google one does through up lots but none you can access...i just want to see some of these words...english words, non medical or scientific, dont follow the rules and difficult to decipher unless you know it from use. example, not a good one but, Hermione

......sorry to be a pain..searching the net and found a few Totally Weird and Wonderful Words Cordwainer, Tmesis,Chthonic, Metanoia, Rodomontade, Chatoyant
Syzygy, Pejorist, LORANTHACEOUS, Aprosexia,phrontistery
some a bit rare i know, but how do you find out how to pronounce them...and what about the more common strange pronunciations?

None of those are particularly obscure, but try using this site for checking both written and spoken pronunciations: Chthonic definition | Dictionary.com

It does work, but the answer it give is 'There is no such page'. Hence my use of "But". Your original question was "are there similar lists on this site?" That link answers the question.
