| Some time ago I had what was called a NART test (this was done in the UK and stands for national adult reading test and not be confused with north american reading test). It comprised a list of words that had ever increasingly difficult pronunciations (irregular with hidden/silent sounds etc). I cannot remember a simple example and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction, eg - are there similar lists on this site? many thanks |

| None of those are particularly obscure, but try using this site for checking both written and spoken pronunciations: Chthonic definition | Dictionary.com |
