| I just wanted to get your opinions on this.. What sort of phonology problems could a non English speaker have with saying - I've been waiting... - It suits you/It fits you - I wish I didn't.. - You should've locked.. Thanks |

| They could have all sorts of problems- in the first, they could have trouble with schwas and unstressed forms- they may want to stress words equally and separately. There could be all sorts of first language interference- where I'm living, learners often cut final consonants, which could make the second hard to understand, while speakers of some languages may try to put a vowel sound in, forinstance, some Japanese speakers. |
