In my college text ,there is the sentence:"There is another, equally important, aspect to staying well, peace of mind."Please explain it for me .Many thanks

It means that in order to be/remain healthy, among other things previously mentioned, one should be free of mental stress and anxiety.

It's not a good sentence. It should read something like:
"There is another, equally important, aspect to staying well - peace of mind." or
" ... staying well: peace of mind."

I don't think the comma after "important" is necessary. But then I'm a conservative when it comes to commas.
