I know there are many threads about this subject, but I couldn’t find any that explained the use of those words as a noun.
The dictionary suggests either can be used in the following context, but I’d like to double check, please:
A raise/rise in sea level.
A raise/rise in temperature.
A raise/rise in carbon dioxide emissions.
In these situations can I use either, please?
