[Grammar] A team of two sounds natural?

Dear teachers

I wrote a bullet point for a job description. If I want to say the person is the manager of the communication team (1 manager + 1 officer), is it grammatically good to write "a team of two" in the following context? following? How can I make it better?

• Manage editorial schedules of a communications team of two [unclear?] to deliver fund specific literature, investment thought pieces and periodic newsletters with a focus on business strategy for institutional, intermediary and retail clients, as well as consultants and pension scheme members.

"Two-man communications team" sounds better to me.

It is alright even if the manager is a he while the officer of the team is a she?

In that case, say 'a two-person ... team'.
