Exclamation interesting warmer (ice breaker)

Based on your experiences, could you please share what is the most interesting activity (warmer: game, etc.) before a pair work? I am stuck. Thank you.

As far as I'm concerned, I usually begin the lesson using brainstorming techniques to introduce the topic.
For example to introduce the theme of friendship, I ask some questions such as:
-do you have friends?
-what are the qualities that you like in your friends?
- who is "the true friend "according to you?
the students' answers are meant to elicit vocabulary items related to the topic of the lesson. Here i will jot down students' answers in a spidergram to elicit words such as loyalty, honesty, sharing, help,...
the same topic can be introduced via a song ( students listen to the song and guess the topic or message of the song) or you can use wordgames and fun activities especially with young learners.
I hope that this will help you.

a spidergram is a way to write many voc items that relate to one word or expression usually to introduce the topic of the lesson. you draw a circle on the board and you write the word in focus in the circle then you draw many lines that emanates from the circle to different directions like a spiderweb in each line you write a word and so you can introduce as many words as possible relating to the topic.

Its something like a Mindmap (Tony Buzan Mind Mapping). Mindmap is similar to a spidergram, as it also starts of with a central work/idea (associated with a picture) and then you draw offshoots from it in to words/ideas related to it and that ways it is spread and offshots radiate out from ever word/idea.

Can we use buzan mindmap to describe personal information? For example:

Where is Jeima from? U.S.
Which part of U.S. does she come from? California
How old is she? 35
Is she married? Yes
How many children does she have? Two
What does she do for living? She is a lawyer

So, we draw Jeima in the circle with six branches, each branch of which shows US, California, 35, married, 2 children, lawyer.

Thank you.
