Default Predicate adjective

I have a question about the predicate adjective and predicate noun. In this sentence, Paul was a good student, is good an adjective or predicate adjective?

A predicate adjective is an adjective that is used to predicate an attribute of the subject.

Adjectives can be used in two ways - attributive and predicative.
'good' is an adjective.
In "A good student", 'good' is an attributive adjective.
In "The student is good", 'good' is a predicate adjective.
