CELTA application process

Hello,

I'm curious if anyone knows how long it typically takes to hear word about your status from the time you sent your application to a CELTA center? I realize different centers will have different response times, but I'm curious if anyone has any experience with that.

Also, when writing up an application, if you go into some length (it was relevant and thorough in my case, not just rambling) is that considered a bad thing? Or are they more interested in the content and thought behind it regardless of length?
