Default SDAIE (Specially designed academic instruction in English)

I am a credentialing student in California and am in a class teaching us how to use SDAIE (Specially designed academic instruction in English). I am worried that, as a young teacher, I will run out of ideas using SDAIE. Can anyone share some stories of first incorporating this kind of teaching into a classroom?
Thanks,
Bo

As a European teacher, I'd never heard of it. I'm reading up on it at the moment. When America wakes up, you should get some answers.
