Online lessons methodology

After having taught English in-class for about 5 years I decided to give online lessons via skype.

Does anybody have any experience with this kind of teaching?

I have given only a couple of online lessons so far, but my general feeling is that online lessons can be fully enjoyed only by someone who enjoys being in front of a computer. As the majority of my students are adults who spend hours a day in front of a computer screen at work, I am having troubles attracting their attention. At the end of the lesson, they are tired and have swollen eyes.

Yes and no- as long as they're familiar with the technology, there are other pluses- not having to travel, etc. Are you only teaching through Skype and at fixed times? Are they 1-to-1 or groups?
