Re: recent trends in Teaching E
We're in a period where things are very fluid and many don't follow methods but choose what they like and think will work with their students. What method[s] are you currently using?

Re: recent trends in Teaching E
I think, the best way is, if you search a teacher, and try new things with her/him.
If you want to learn for ex. online, you try it with your long been known teacher.

Re: recent trends in Teaching E
One (apparently) new method I've heard is the idea of making your students wait for 3 seconds after presenting some new vocab before they repeat it. Apparently, it makes them more likely to get the correct pronunciation than just repeating it straight up. I haven't tried it myself, but I intend to. I've seen someone doing it though, and it takes a bit of training to get your students to remember not to speak until you say so. Has anyone tried this? What did you think?
