which is correct?

The committee is tasked with resolving the privatization issue. OR

The committee is tasked to handle the privatization issue.

I think you can used either, though I'd be more likely to use the first.

thanks. i, too, am partial to using the first. just wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong in using the second.
