Military service
Hi everyone,
Is it correct to say "go to military service" as in "My brother went to military service last month?"
Or do we have to say "start (doing) military service" as in "My brother started (doing) military service last month?"

Re: Military service
We'd probably say:
My brother started his military service last month.
My brother was called up last month. (BrE)
