Re: What is the best free online English teaching site(s) for Finnish students?
I can't find one either but I had an idea. Google Translate can translate whole websites. If you go to translate.google.com and enter the URL of a beginner's English site in the box, then click on the new URL which pops up under the other language (ie you set it to translate from English to Finnish), it will give you a translation of the whole page. Of course, that means the parts in English will also be in Finnish. However, if your friend has 2 computers, or a computer and an iPad, he could have the site open in English on one screen and in Finnish on another screen and use the two together.
Here is what I did as a test run. I found a beginner's English site: English for Everybody - Beginners English Course
I entered that URL into Google Translate and asked it to translate the site into Finnish.
That gave me a new URL: Google Translate
which is the same site but in Finnish.
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
