I am the only native teacher at my school and I teach speaking. I need some ideas about conversation lessons. I use conversation cards but my lessons are 40 minutes long and my elementary school students get really bored. Whenever I do a song fill in the blanks or a speaking game to liven the lesson up, the other teachers get angry at me because I am the native teacher and I should be focused on speaking. I need ideas of how to make a speaking lesson fun but whenever I ask other teachers for ideas they get angry because I am the native teacher and I should know how to make speaking fun. I have one lesson where I am assigned to teach grammar and honestly I enjoy it more because I can do a variety of activities, while speaking I can only do so much..... I need ideas for fun speaking lessons that fill out a 40 minute lesson
