What do you think that teaching is? I'm preparing an interview for a English teaching position.

One foreigner said, "It's student-oriented. You should focus on it when you answer those questions".

Should I talk about something student-oriented?

* I just want to know if this is the way English-speaking people think.

It is all about how you communicate with your students. If you could not achieve this goal, you will not be able to teach.

In order to do so you have to put in mind several points. First, THE BODY LANGUAGE, students can take more information in when you interact with them using your body & they have the ability to understand. After that, you should pay attention to your pitch. You should make sure that your voice is not low neither high, put in mind that you will need to change the pitch sometimes to restrain order or to make a point.

When communicating with students you have to know how to treat them according to their age and cultural background.

Before the interview remember that you will be teaching not for the money only but for educating a whole generation, which will build the county in the future.

Treat your students fairly and care about them and their concerns- take their worries and ambitions seriously and do all you can to help them.
