Smile ICT in modern language teaching

Technology these days has invaded our lives in every possible way ....starting from our homes .. work ...and nowadays the buzz word is ICT IN LANGUAGE TEACHING...

Today may schools ae trying to integrate technology in its curriculm ....
what do you think of using internet, smartbaod and other technological options in language teaching ...the integration of technolog in teching is it considered as a supplement or replacemnt to teaching .....

participations is appreciated..

Firstly, though I use it almost exclusively, I don't think of it as a magic technology and if it is not implemented well, it can cause problems. One thing some institution do is to install the technology, but then not spend on the training and the input, so they have systems that could do great things, but many avoid them because they don't know how to use it and there aren't enough materials available.
However, when used well, it can be a joy to use.

The tool is a tool, the user of it is very important.

hi Reem,
You have a nice name.
Any way i do agree about what you have mentioned first in your email that it invaded our lives in every possible way and even some say that it will replace teachers. i think if there are enough material available as Tdol said, it will be more effective than anything els in teaching and it creates a nice atmosphere in class.

Good idea and world needs a quick leap towards educational technology
options because rapid society movement and learning facility proceduers
depend on the new technological equipement that help learners use and get
lots of iformation in seconds any time the need.
