It should be 'you would like', and to me it refers to the food, but that could be for any meal.

Because of the verb "prepare," it must mean what type of food would you make (prepare) for your friends.
Also, the sentence should read, "What is the perfect meal YOU WOULD like to prepare FOR your friends?" (Capital letters = changes.) Or, "What is the perfect meal THAT YOU WOULD like to prepare FOR your friends?" also works.
