Default nonnative english teacher development

Dear Colleague,

I am writing today to raise an important issue which is the development of the nonnative English language teacher. For example, I am an English language teacher in a secondary school level students (aged 16-18 years old). I have different student levels in my classes. I want to offer the best quality of teaching to my students as we are living in a competitive world. I wonder how I can develop my English language and my teaching as I am living and working in the occupied Palestinian territories. I am teaching a language which there is not any direct contact with it. What should I do?

I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Best wishes,
Jebril

How much internet access do you have? You can access things directly through it, but it does depend on how much time you can use it.

Can you receive English language radio? I can get the BBC World Service here, so I can listen to English.

First, I must say clearly that I am not a teacher but a student in the Language department, and I am majoring in English teaching. To say the nonnative english teacher development, the best way of course is the web. But if it is not so convenient, the radio is another way, like radio stations, the VOA and BBC are all the ones that I used to develop myself. The last way in my opinion is the newspaper. I usually read the 21st century and the China Daily. They first could give you the latest information and also could give you the real materials to teach.
