How about:

A. Write down a list of correlative conjunctions ("and," "but," "or," "nor," "for," "so," or "yet")

Briefly explain the function of correlative conjunctions.

B. Write down some sentences as examples (using the conjunctions of course)

C. Explain the function again but this time use the examples you've provided to the class.

D. Let the students write some sentences with some conjunctions to check if they understand. Now would be a good opportunity to check their understanding and answer questions on a one-on-one basis.

That's just one way to do it. There's probably thousands of ways to do this.

thanks a lot for your suggestions, I have a questions.Correlative conjunctions is neither…nor, either…or,not only….. but also, both…and, whether…or. right?in some books and sites I saw these pair conjunctions as correlative conjunctions not (and, but, nor…)Do you know any new and attractive way to teach it? My teacher told me,don’t teach in a traditional way.In the first reply I said I want to teach deductively but I made a mistake, inductively not deductively.Thank you very much.
