Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some free software that can generate crosswords.

I've been browsing on the net for a while but I'm afraid I can't find anything worthwhile.

Could anyone recommend something?

I couldn't find any free software to create crossword puzzles offline.

I did find an interesting site to make some online however. Go here to check it out!

Here's the final result, which I'm quite satisfied with:

I use puzzlemaker* a lot. Given the same data, you can get it to make new puzzles (hit the <back> button to get the new <Generate puzzle> screen) until you get one that looks right. Then, print it out, and voilà.

The link I gave lets you generate wordsearch puzzles as well. The default size is rather daunting (15x15), so I always set it to the length of my longest word.

This is jee,Horizontal and vertical words are generated alternately to the extent possible. Execution stops when the requested number of words have been generated or no more words can be found to fit in either direction.
