how would you teach the phrase "It's up to you" ?

It’s your choice; you decide; it depends on you; your turn & etc.

Hmm... it seems like something fairly straightforward to teach.

Do you have any ideas? What do you think? I'd like to hear what you have in mind and implement my own thoughts.

I would begin by giving them plenty of examples. Dialogues (just noticed "dialogue" wasn't recognized as a word by Firefox!) gives you the opportunity to really demonstrate the usage of "it's up to you."

You may, for example, teach it as an idiom having the meaning of ‘incumbent on’. It’s up to you to decide whether we’re going or not.
