How can I teach correctness & appropriacy?

I know it is important for a language learner to be aware o appropriacy, and to produce his/her communicative language with appropriacy and corectness, my quiestion is how to teach them in my class? Please give an idea. I'm teaching in teens group and I don't know what to do. Thank you for your support. .

leves: intermediate and upper-intermediate

Getting things correct is more important at lower levels, but as they advance, they will need more work on appropriacy. I'd start with some fairly basic concepts about formal and informal language, so that they get the idea that correct language may not be acceptable in certain contexts.
