Default Using the Internet in teaching advanced students

Greetings from Russia!
Do you use the Internet in teaching upper-intermediate and advanced students? I'm looking for any kinds of reading, audio and video materials addressed to native speakers that can be used while studying specific areas of vocabulary.
Thank you in advance.

I like BreakingEnglishNews for adult content and listening. I even have many on karaoke with text streaming, on my resource site. He does a good job. I wish BBC hadn't taken off newsround!

We have a lot of reading/stories, as well as full screen games/quizzes if you have a screen and computer in your class. Karaoke also is good to create atmosphere and you can either used the regular stuff available or on my other resources site the hundreds of teacher produced karaokes (need Karafun player to play - its free!).

Take a look.

For reading material I like to use unusual news stories as they can be amusing for my students. You can find such news items on sites like:

Weird News, Strange But True Stories, Odd News, Strange Bizarre News
News of the Weird Daily

There are plenty to choose from.

As for listening/video try a search for 'free podcasts' you may have to download iTunes first though.

Also a search for 'urban myths' or 'urban legends' has often given me interesting material for class.

By the way Abra, your English is amazingly good you could probably give me lessons

'Flattery will get you anywhere'
Why not arrange an exchange class?
Thanks for the Weird and Urban links and please remember me if anything else catches your eye.
