Default forming sentences

Hi im currently a teacher trainee and one of my students said that her problem was forming sentences. Can anyone give me any ideas on how I could help her. Do I revise SVO with her?

Her description of her problem is very vague; I would start bygetting some samples to see what exactly she means. What level is she?
