teaching English with a Standards-based approach

Hi guys
I am Bani from Morocco I am a senior high school teacher .what i want to say is that since the year 2004 our educational responsibles suggested the use of a new approach in teaching not only in english but in all subject matters and itI think that ot would be a good idea if we share ideas about it. The approach is the Standards-based approach.
I'll be so glad to drop in with all the documents I have.
