Default Teaching Silent Method

I am supposed to teach silent method in the class as a course activity. But the problem is that I don't know how to make the students understand what I mean. For example how am I supposed to tell them what does "take the book" mean. I have prepared some rodes and I somehow know what I'm going to say but still I can't find a way to transfer the meanings to them. Can any one help, please?

Hello,
As Freeman gave an example on "SW" , "The teacher has a group of students take the places of the first eight at the table , turns to one of the students and says, "Take a green rod" . through gestures from the teacher, he understands that he should direct the command to another students", therefor"Gesture" can be an important role in "SW", so a teacher needs to be good at it.
Imperative verbs are very easy to use in gesture.
I think that if the teacher played the role of a student at first and he will pick up a book and then bring for another, he would get through to his student whatever he command.
Regards,
