Default ESL teaching in UK

A technical question re: ESL teaching in the UK. What is the job title of the department head for teaching ESL classes in UK private secondary schools? i.e. Head of English, Head of Sciences, etc.

Also does the job title differ when it comes to private language centres?

Many thanks for your replies.

Some schools in the UK call it EAL (English as an addituional Language). Private language centres tend to use Director of Studies.
