Aah! My purpose was to breakdown the lexical features in an e.e. Cummings poem. I wanted to get some direction/advice on whether or not I was on the right track. While i have done literary analysis of a poem, I have never done it from a linguistic standpoint. Also, the format was lost after I posted. So, please forgive me , I did not mean to confuse anyone.
There are many methodologies to employ for a linguistic approach to literature, and yours seems interesting and plausible, but none should be regarded as "the" right answer.
