Does that mean that I'm taller than him or.. is that false?

It's hard to say from the context, but it sounds as if he is correcting the grammar and suggesting using 'I' instead of 'me' rather than the facts. However, if this is the case, you can say I/me here.

I've already seen the following structures:
1) Taller than I am. (and)
2) Taller than me.
Are they correct or not?

They are both correct. Traditionally, people prefered 'than I', because it's a conjunction not a preposition, but 'me' is more common.
