| If you are going to compare two groups (parents of autistic children and parents of normal control group) on a test, which has been completed by both mother of father of each child, do you use 2 (groups – autistic vs normal/between subjects variable) x 2 (parents – mother vs fathers/ within subjects variable) ANOVA ? OR do you use 2 (groups – autistic vs normal/between subjects variable) x 2 (parents – mother vs fathers/ between subjects variable) ANOVA? Do you think the mother group and the father group are independent? Or do you think mother-father pairs are related and therefore the parent variable is a within subjects not a between subjects variable? I appreciate if anyone can answer my question. Thanks in advance |

| As far as I know, it is required to be known what kind of test you are going to apply. I hope the below websites would be usefull. Between-Subjects Variable Between-Subjects Variable Within-Subjects Variable Within-Subjects Variable (1 of 2) [Niether a NES, nor a teacher] |
