How do readers 'decode' texts using linguistic features and 'reconstruct' texts using discourse patterns?

I'm afraid that you may refer to Russian formalism, Deconstruction by Jacques Derrida, and the traditional psychoanalysis of creative writing.I have to admit that I am a beginner in this regard. Rumor has it that in India every university or college student is required to read Shakespeare as it is likely that at every job interview you will be asked about this playwright. Is it true?
