This famous proverb says that being honest is the best possible life ‘strategy’. Honesty is indeed one of the most admired human qualities and it is very important in some of the aspects of human life. However, being too honest has its disadvantages and can be harmful in some situations.

To begin with, the best way in which people can express themselves and communicate with others is by being honest. When a person tells the truth he or she wins the respect of the others and is considered reliable and sincere. Furthermore, such people often communicate more easily and naturally. This makes them more successful both in professional and personal aspect. For example, honest people are preferred choice by the employers. Another example for the prosperity of honest people is that men and women who tend to tell the truth are more prone to create stable and long-term relationships. For these reasons, honesty is deemed the best policy in some situations.

On the contrary, the truth is not always wanted or necessary and people who tell no lies are not liked. There are situations in which people who are completely honest are considered impolite and are not accepted well by the others. For example, when a doctor is honest and tells a patient about his or her fatal disease straight in his or her face, the expert is deemed rude and even heartless. In such cases, honesty is not the best approach and cause conflicts and unpleasant experiences.

In conclusion, honesty is one of the most impressive and admirable features of the human nature. Being honest can be a very successful strategy in some situations. However, the complete honesty also hides risks. It can lead to unpleasant consequences in situations in which is unwanted.

It's good!

You use the his or her/he or she form too often. It's grammatical, which is good, but it can tire the reader. You might try rephrasing sometimes - for instance, by using plural nouns and verbs instead of singular (e.g: when doctors are honest and tell patients. . . .) or by shortening the sentence to make pronouns unnecessary (e.g: Telling the truth wins the respect . . . .).

"Honesty is the best policy"
------- George Washington

Look through that piece and find all the unnecessary "the"s. Then delete them.

I hope you rid yourself of the annoying habit of using "In conclusion". I can plainly see when the last paragraph is in front of me. (Professional writers never use that phrase. Amateur writers often do.
