It would have been better if you'd had a try first, Sir S. But, since 'the cat is out of the bag':



You could omit 'pounds' in contexts where the reference is obvious: 'How much...?'/'Sixteen Forty'
C is a bit excessive, but it's possible. In 1971, when the 'new penny' was first released, the official line was that the plural was 'pennies', with 'pence' reserved for the old coins (which were more than twice as big but had less than half the value!): 'One new penny = 2.4 old pence'. But this rule was immediately broken by the coin designers themselves: 'Two new pence'. So you can use either 'pence' or 'pennies'.

PS With these multiple choice questions, the student should be allowed to have a go first. As a language learner, I've always remembered things better if I've been uncertain of them at first, tried, and 'got them right'!
