    What kind of/ What kinds of

    Hi, I'd like to know how to use the question like "what kind of...?".

    1.What kind of movies do you like?
    2.What kinds of movies do you like?
    3.What kind of movie do you like?

    Which one is correct? and why?

    They are all correct.

    1) asks for a single favourite genre ('I like westerns').

    2) expects multiple answers ('I like romcoms, biopics and whodunits).

    3) is the same as 1.
