Hey

I'll pay you ten times what they paid you . Don't leave a space before your period/full stop. Otherwise, this is fine.

This man is stingy he'd ask you ten times what he gave you . I'm not sure what you mean here.

Many thanks
Could you say the second one a different way?

In the second example I meant :

That close-fisted man will take more than what he gave you.

like when you give someone 10 dollars and then you ask him to do too many things for you in rturn.

Thank you

Am I correct?

'What he gives with the right hand he takes with the left' - doesn't mean quite the same
'He has short arms and deep pockets' - doesn't mean the same at all

This man is stingy he'd ask you ten times what he gave you.

Incorrect punctuation. I would add a semicolon, thus:-

"This man is stingy; he'd ask you ten times what he gave you."

Also, it's grammatically incorrect. We might say "what" in conversation but I think it should be written as:-

"This man is stingy; he'd ask you for ten times that which he gave you."

Thank you Bobk and Koronas for your explanation:up:
