Hi,

I wonder which is most correct:

1. I have a gut feeling for which sentence is correct.

2. I have a gut feeling of which sentence is correct.

Thanks

You usually have a gut feeling about something.

Rover

Here are additional versions:

I have a gut feeling that Joe doesn't like me.

I have a gut feeling Joe doesn't like me.

Thanks for the suggestions.

So it would then be:

"I have a gut feeling about which sentence is correct."

Right?

The context to my question is I try to say:

"Native English speakers have a gut feeling about which preposition to use in a certain phrase, something that ESL speakers doesn't have."

Would the above be correct then?

Thanks

Hi uabclst

As a NES, but not a teacher, I agree with both susiedqq and Rover_KE, but:
"I have a gut feeling for which sentence is correct." also works, for me.

"Native English speakers have a gut feeling about which preposition to use in a certain phrase. This is something that ESL speakers don't have."

Try not to make your sentences unnecessarily long.

Hope this helps
Best regards
