[Grammar] "He is the manager of our company"a wrong sentence?

I really can't see the problem with this sentence. In my opinion, it's as fine as He is a manager of our company.

Perhaps there's something I haven't noticed here?

The one in the subject line is correct, but your second example, He is a manager of our company, sounds strange to me. If there are many managers, we would not use "of" our company, but "at", "for", "in" or "with."

The genitive implies possession, meaning there is only one manager for the one company.
