[Idiom] weather words

I haven't got time. I'm s.....under with work;
XZ was in f.......of tears after breaking up with him.

What weather words fit into these sentences?

The first one is "snowed under".

The second word, I am thinking, is "flood".
 
I think it should be "floods", not "flood". I agree with the first one though.

Yes, "floods of tears" is a common expression. I indicates that the person is very upset.

As much as I appreciate snark, I just don't believe this is a common expression.

To be "in floods of tears" is common enough in BrE. It's probably the climate that does it.;-)
