Hello.

I try to keep my diary in English and having problems to name the process we usually have before leaving the house and going to work. This process includes getting up, washing, having breakfast, etc.

So, can I put the following record on my diary, '5:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. - Getting ready for out' ?

I wouldn't say 'getting ready for work' as the work isn't the only part of my day.

Thanks, Alex.

'Getting ready to go out.'

Some possibilities:
Getting ready to leave the house.
Getting ready to go out.
Getting ready for the day.
Getting myself organized (for the day ahead).

not a teacher

Getting ready for going out.
Getting ready for facing (to face) the cruel jungle of daily vicissitudes.

I know the feeling Raymott. I didn't post these the first time but now I will:
"Getting ready for yet more disappointment".
"Preparing to take another beating".
"Getting ready to give up".

Those are too pessimistic to start a new day :)

Perhaps you could just call it your "morning routine."
