Hi
I found that "twilight zone" is an area where two different ways of life or states of existence meet. For example, the twilight zone between life and death. I didn't get it well, somehow I mixed it with dilemma. Could you help me get it?
Thanks a million.

The tw is the same as that in 'between', 'two' and 'twin'; less common related words are 'betwixt', 'twain'* and 'twine'. The 'light' is self-explanatory. Twilight was originally the period between day and night. The Wikipedia link is to one particular (very influential) usage - referring to a number of things half-way between things: day/night, good/bad, life/death.... ;-)

*The writer with the pseudonym Mark Twain - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia took his name from the call of sailors on the Mississippi, who measured the depth of the water they were sailing in by dropping a string with a mark at each fathom (six feet): 'Mark twain' meant '12 feet [go anywhere nearer the bank and we'll run aground!;-)]'
