I have never seen or heard "that next product". Doesn't it have to be "the next product"? Did the writer make a mistake or is it acceptable?

By "that next product" the writer is referring specifically to the preferably original new product mentioned earlier in the text.

Couldn't it also be a theoretical next product existing in the heads of imaginary creators?
