No, there wouldn't be.

Personally, I would use 'next semester' as well, but the other two options would also be suitable.
 
'Next semester' refers to the one after this. 'The next semester' normally refers to the one after the one we have been talking about.

Really? I'd just assume it would be the next semester. (As in after the one you'd just had, or the next one to start)
