[Grammar] Preposition -on/in

Hi! I have a gap filling sentence:

My father has a pain .... his chest?

I wonder If I can use "on or in" to fill in the gap.

I think "in" is correct. But when I asked google it also gave "on"

Don't believe everything you read on Google. You are right. I won't go so far as to say that having a pain on your chest is absolutely impossible but I have never had reason to use it, and I've never heard it used.

People with chest pain say "I have a pain in my chest" - they mean their chest cavity, not the surface area.
