When I learned grammer, I was teached I couldn't use 'that' when it be after the 'preposition'.
I understand grammatically when I can and cannot use 'that' except in the above case.
Why I can't use in that case?

First, Thank you for the correction.
What I told is here.
ex) This is the place in [which(o)/that(x)] I've lived for 10 years.

I know the fact that 'that' can't use after comma because 'that' means to indicate a specific object.
The same reason, words like 'something' or 'everything' that don't indicate an exect object, so only 'that' can come after these words.
but, about 'that' after a preposition, I don't understand why 'that' can't be there.

Please let me know what makes that phenomenon.

Thank you for the corrections.

This is what I was told.

This is where I have lived for the last ten years.

We do use prepositions before "that".

There is much there I don't understand. Try writing shorter, simpler sentences.

I love this world that we live in. ✅
I love this world which we live in. ✅

Both that and which can be used with this sentence structure.

I love this world in which we live. ✅
I love this world in that we live. ❌

These latter two sentences have the same meaning as the former two, but with this sentence structure, only which is correct.
